What You Need to Know
Description:
I had the contractor design the system to be the least noticable from the street - only on 2nd floor roof, solid black, and near rectangle. I also have an EV SUV which I charge primarily at home.
Maintenance Requirements:
None so far
Efficiency or Sustainability Improvements:
Did an energy audit and sealed the attic. Replaced nearly all of my natural gas appliances with electrical and efficient options.
My Motivation:
Desire to lower my carbon footprint
Advice:
Use an independent service like EnergySage to review proposals and give you advice.
Experience with Installer:
I liked the installers that physically visited my location. Also, my warranty is backed by an insurance company in case the installer isn't around for 30 years.
